We Have Lots of Family Close By
We are lucky to have a big extended family near by. Both sets of Grandparents and several Aunts and Uncles live within 2 hours from our home. Every year we have family reunions where all of the cousins get to spend time together. Like all large families, there are a variety of personalities so getting together is always a noisy adventure! The cousins as well as the adults, always have fun together.
A few words from Kathy about Ken
Someone will ask "who is the big kid out there playing in the court?". I have to laugh and say "that’s my husband Ken!" He loves kids and engages them in a lively conversation whenever possible. Ken will stop everything and organize a spur of the moment kickball game or "hide and go seek" or "tag" in the court. Ken also loves his work and enjoys investing in the stock market. He is very easy-going and is absolutely the best at juggling his career life with his family life.
A few words from Ken about Kathy
Kathy is a caring person. When a friend or family member is down and out, Kathy is the first to lend an ear for support. After spending many successful years in the business world, Kathy has embraced being a full-time Mom. Being home has given Kathy the opportunity to explore her more creative side. Kathy loves to cook and garden and dabble in home improvement projects.
A few words from both of us about Shannon
A happy little bundle of energy best describes Shannon. He is sweet and loves to "snuggle up," too. He has a great sense of humor and tries new jokes out on us all the time. He is in Kindergarten and is learning new stuff like crazy. He really enjoys being around lots of kids. Anything to do with science or nature interests him. He loves trips to the Monterey Bay Aquarium or Santa Cruz Beach or a little longer trip to Disneyland or up to Lake Tahoe. Shannon likes to chase our cat around until she cannot stand it. Then she’ll find a real secret hiding place. It drives him crazy when he cannot find her!!

A Family Get Together at Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk
This is a real hit with the cousins! Plenty of fun rides and arcades and cotton candy!! Lots of fun in the sand, too. |

We also have a "big" cat named Chuck in our family. We are pretty sure she thinks she is a person just like the rest of us. She and Shannon have lots of fun together.... at least Shannon thinks so! |
